My name is Justin Kubeck

As a cancer survivor I had to rely on others for strength on my toughest days. I have had to develop a relationship with my mental health and be honest with myself when life is beginning to be too much to handle on my own. I am fortunate enough to have my own tribe that has formed over the years that cares for me and is willing to step up when times are hard. Not everyone is so lucky and for some it isn’t enough.

That’s okay too.

What is important, is that we talk about it.

Six million men are affected by depression every year. Many more are affected by other mental health illnesses. Less than half seek treatment due to the stigma surrounding the subject. Let’s do away with that stigma. We can all take care of each other whether we are family or not. That’s the idea behind Kindred. You don’t have to be family to be there for someone. With Kindred you can help provide support, raise awareness about men’s mental health, and help end the stigma.
